You don't need anything quicker!
I bought a couple of these for my kids (orange and green one) when they were on sale for just shy of £35 in March 2023 (they were saved for Christmas later that year) - for that price they are a bargain. You'd burn through £35 in AA batteries without the same level of performance on other RC cars.
Out of the box, they go like a stabbed rat! Unkempt grass is no problem and get them on tarmac and they fly! Honestly, I don't know why you would need anything quicker unless you have an airfield to play on! Battery life is not too bad. They last a reasonable amount of time (15mins or so) with plenty of thrashing. However, a spare battery or two is a must as they do take a while to charge.
A couple of issues - battery change and switching on/off is a little faff - the shell needs to be removed and can be tricky. Gets easier with use though. Secondly, one of the motors worked its way loose of its mount after not very long. Fortunately, it was easy to fix and even comes with the screw driver necessary to disassemble and reassemble. So no dramas really. Headlights are definitely for show only and are useless in the dark. Having the brake lights come on under braking is a nice bonus though!
