  • What's in the box?

Included in the box is the ready-to-run truck, transmitter, 7.4v Battery and USB Charger.

    What's not in the box?

4x AA Batteries for the transmitter.

How to get this truck up and running:

This model is super easy to get up and running, just ensure you have a small cross head screw driver and 4x AA batteries for the transmitter at the ready.

    Charging the battery

Simply turn over the truck to see the underside. Ensure the car is switched off before proceeding any further. Notice the small steering trim dial above the battery. This needs to be centred in the middle between the R and the L to effectively correct the 'tracking' of the steering.

Steering trim configuration of the RCG RumbleAll batteries arrive 70% charged, we recommend fully charging all batteries before using your RC car. The battery door in the bottom of the chassis plate, as you can see, is held in by a screw. This is where your small cross head screw driver becomes handy.

To charge the battery, insert the USB charging cable to a USB port with an output of no higher than 2A such as a computer port. When connected, it will display a solid red light. Then you will need to connect the battery. Once you have done so, the solid red light will stay but be joint by a green flashing light which indicate that it is charging the battery. Once charged, the green light will become solid. The battery will take around 2.5 hours to fully charge, however, this will vary depending on your USB power source.

    Transmitter set up

Basic, compact and smaller than a usual transmitter, it requires just 4x AA batteries to run.

Fitting the four AA batteries into the base of the transmitter requires the small cross head screw driver to open the battery door.

Once the batteries are inserted, ensure to place the door back on the transmitter and the screw into place. Simply slide the power switch to turn on.

Remember to turn the power 'ON' your transmitter first before powering up your car. The red light on the transmitter will flash quickly when it is not connected to the model.
This makes it a great choice for a first RC car owner to use.

    Driving the truck

We took the truck for a test run on our local dirt track to see how it would fair with the off road and on road terrain.

On the dirt, the rubber tyres provide plenty of grip. The turning circle is relatively large on this model due to the steering lock clocking only 30°, however, if you tap the brakes before turning, it loads up the front end, cocking a rear wheel and allows for a tighter rotationWe found the 2.4Ghz transmitter/receiver combo robust in its communication with no issues with interference.

Rumble Rally Truck off road and covered in gravel

This car is fantastic for small jumps at high speeds. With guard set at the front and the back of the vehicle it can take a couple of bumps here and there but we would caution against bashing this guy around a skatepark all afternoon as this could cause some damage.

With the high ground clearance of approximately 34mm, you are able to drive over slightly overgrown lawn without getting stuck.

    Detail of the truck

Fantastic design on the car, with a realistic roll cage on the interior, attention to detail on the overhead lights and great use of black and blue stickers on the bonnet, side panels and roof to give the real off road defender feel. It comes with two white LED headlights attached to the front shell. Whilst not designed to light your way through the night, they do bring the truck to life.
