Following the success of the Osmo, DJI have re-purposed the device to hold your smartphone. The rapid development progression of the smartphone market has resulted in many now having a high-speed, 4k capable video camera always in their pocket. Compatible with a wide range of iOS and Android handsets, the Osmo Mobile enables you to get the best results when filming with your handset.

Freedom to move

The Osmo mobile turns your smartphone into a smart motion camera. Every video you take will have the smooth professional feel usually reserved for expensive steadicams. Installing the DJI GO app (available for both iOS and Android) to expand the abilities of the stabiliser, automatically track your subject and create stunning timelapses.

Live in the moment

At only 200g it makes an ideal travel companion! Inbuilt technologies such as ActiveTrack will keep your phone steady and pointed at your subject, leaving you to move freely around them whilst still capturing super smooth footage. Capture special moments like never before with little concern for camera shake or failures in composition, but should you need to make adjustments, the joystick and hardware controls are at your fingertips.

The device can be held in a variety of ways such as the standard upright, portrait, underslung or even flashlight mode. A few taps of the control trigger will also swivel the gimbal 180 degrees to capture video selfies.

Does the handle have a tripod thread attachment?
In terms of using a longer retractable handle / arm? For gaining extra height or distance, can I attach a longer handle to it?

  • Hi there,

As this item has only just been announced I do not have a great deal of info on it just yet. Only what is on DJI's site. But I am presuming the handle will be the same as what is on the normal/original Osmo and so all of the mounts and accessories such as the extending pole will be compatible.

    Many thanks

    Matt
