Expert Opinion PHIL [PILOT]

DJI have really raised the bar with the Inspire 2. It addresses many of the issues pilots had with the original craft - such as the lack of gimbal-independant camera - and adds a whole host of new features and redundancies. The new craft is designed to optimise production at every step. If you are looking to fly commercially, this is the system for you.

Powerful Imaging Platform

The Inspire 2 is a marked improvement on its predecessor. It offers superior performance with a 0-50mph time of just 5 seconds, maximum speed of 58mph and can now descend at 9m/s. The imaging system has been totally overhauled allowing for recordings at up to 5.2k in both CinemaDNG, Apple ProRes, RAW and more. A host of redundant navigation electronics are paired with a (self heating) dual battery setup to minimise downtime in even the most hostile environments. Revised advanced autopilot modes now make it even easier for a single operator to produce incredible shots. Please Note : This listing is for the the bare quacopter. Neither a gimbal or camera is included at this price.

Sense and Avoid

The Inspire 2 can detect objects up to 30m infront thanks to its forward and downward sensors. This enables it to fly at 34mph whilst automatically avoiding such obstacles. These (alongside its historical position data) allow the drone to intelligently return to home, should a loss in connection occur.

product detail

Intelligent Autopilot

The brand new spotlight pro intelligent flight mode uses advanced algorithms to visually track objects, allowing the pilot to concentrate on framing the shot instead. The craft will even auto rotate if it comes within the rotation limits of the gimbal.

Alongside this, the Inspire 2 also supports the new TapFly and Activetrack flight modes found in the consumer range of drones.
